David Home Inspection: California: Lake Los Angeles

The crap I'm referring to is the crap in the toilet at the vacant home that was just listed. I can't believe how many homes are listed, that have no running water. If there are going to be painters and other trades-men doing work on the home please turn on the water so the bath facilities can be used... So, now the home is painted and new carpet has been put down. Then the home hits the MLS and other Realtors are touring that listing, people are discussed by the odor coming from down the hall. This in my opinion is bad business practice. It would be like going to any place of business you own and have the water turned off to the toilet. I find it funny how many Realtors don't even know what condition their  bathrooms are in.  And it's thier listing. I just bought another investment property this month in the wonderful old town of Colton. I was looking at homes for three months. Every week there would be three or four homes where the water was turned off and that sicking odor coming from down the hall. What a way to not sell a home. I'm sure I will inspect a least 3 homes this week with the same issue. How do you feel as a Realtor showing homes like this? What do you do? Sound off.
